Endurance Products Company is proud to serve as an industry leader offering the highest quality supplements with more than 45 years of research and is excited to remain connected to the brilliant minds that started it all.
Our founder, Terry Hammerschmidt, a biochemist and former collegiate athlete, developed our unique sustained-release technology in the late 1960s. With experience as a technical director in the pharmaceutical industry, Terry saw the advantages of controlled-release medications and applied this concept to vitamins and supplements.
By the 1980s, Harvard scientist Dr. Frank Sacks researched the effects of niacin on cholesterol. He discovered that Hammerschmidt’s unique vegetable wax matrix technology reduced the common side effect of "flushing," a temporary redness and warmth that feels like a mild sunburn and lasts about 30 minutes. This study not only highlighted the lipid benefits of niacin in raising good cholesterol and lowering bad cholesterol, but it also showed significantly reduced flushing.
As a result, our innovative wax matrix technology gained recognition from researchers at multiple universities. Our controlled release technology became popular for its ability to provide a slow, steady release of nutrients. Over time, it led to over 23 published studies, and our research has been acknowledged by esteemed institutions such as:
